Completes related administrative and clerical duties as required to deliver quality patient-centered care. Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities: 1. Knowledge of the use of appropriate modalities and techniques to assist in the diagnosis, recovery and rehabilitation of patients with neuromuscular, orthopedic and other disabilities at a level normally acquired through successful completion of an accredited Physical Therapy program.2. License to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Michigan or a state with acknowledged reciprocity. 3. BCLS certification required within 90 days of start date. 4. Approximately 6-12 months on the job experience necessary in order to become familiar with Hospital/department policies, practices and equipment and to attain proficiency in performance of duties. 5. Ability to utilize a variety of approaches to convey a concept and obtain a cooperative, mutually agreed upon outcome. 6. Ability to properly use equipment necessary to provide appropriate treatment modalities. 7. Ability to consistently exercise discretion and judgment in developing and administering treatment plans. 8. Ability to provide care for patients in the following age groups: Infant - Birth to 1 year; Child – 2 to 12 years; Adolescent – 13 to 18 years; Adult – 19 to 65 years; Geriatric – over 65 years.
