In accordance with Lakeland Regional Health System Physical Therapy and Medical Staff policies and with accepted practice in Sports Medicine, Athletic Trainer will assist physical therapist in patient care and provide assessment, prevention treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries sustained by high school athletes with referrals for further assessment as appropriate.
Maintains and completes accurate documentation, department records and reports for all assigned patients in order to provide a clear record and to communicate patient's treatment plan and progress to the referring physician.
Athletic Trainer will also act as a liaison between the Lakeland Regional Health System and the athletic community.
Must possess a Bachelors Degree in an approved/appropriate curriculum in the area of sports medicine or athletic training.
Must maintain NATA required continuing education units.
Must be licensed as an Athletic Trainer in the State of Michigan.
Must possess current BLS certification
