Team Lead/Administrative: - Supervise additional Nursing and Secretarial staff, Social worker, Data coordinator -Interfaces with other disciplines: physicians, lab, research, physical therapy, dental -Management of clinic activities (see below) -Primary nurse for bleeding disorder patients- -Management of UPeds/Wayne State staff -Complete yearly grant proposals on 3 grants: MCHB, CDC and Cascade -Facilitate that yearly statistics are completed for Grants -Plan budgets for any out of town meetings for approval -Screen vendors of drug companies and home care companies -Sign off payroll twice a month, approve time off, timecards
Patient care: -Phone triage -New patient education and coordination of care -Care of patients with bleeding episodes and weekly prophylaxis factor infusions -Education of patients, parents, staff and community of issues regarding bleeding disorders -Coordination of Comprehensive clinic of bleeding disorder patient and Girls Clinic -Coordinate special lab tests or study tests with lab and patient -Factor orders, prior authorizations of medications and procedures -Patient Home/School visits -Communicate with patients, PCP's as necessary
Management of daily clinic: -Daily review of next day schedule, -Review of nursing staff scheduling -Set up agenda/moderate monthly team meeting, pre-conference comp clinic -Coordinate projects as needed
Premier Health Service (PHS) Factor Dispensing Program: -Monthly review of inventory with pharmacist at Cascade -Meetings with Cascade contract pharmacy, mostly phone or on site (Ann Arbor) -Member of PHS Executive Committee -Alliance meeting attendance as needed
Network in the Bleeding Disorder Community: -Meeting with Nurse/SW at HFM 3x/year -Collaborating with other treatment centers, Hemophilia Foundation of Mi, NHF etc -Attend local and national meetings as needed (Regional, NHF, ATHN, HTRS) -Attend Bleeding Disorder Camp -Attend Parent Support Group Dinners if available
Required Qualifications: Must have a Bachelor of Science In Nursing At least 5 years of nursing experience History of administrator/management experience is preferred

We are affiliated with Children's Hospital of Michigan, the only free standing children's hospital in the state.
