We are an outpatient Michigan Medicine satellite facility located in Canton, MI, seeking an energetic full time Physical Therapists to be a part of our Neurological Rehabilitation Team. Candidates must exhibit creativity and a strong passion for the evaluation and treatment of persons with neurological disorders. This includes but is not limited to multiple sclerosis, stroke, Parkinson's disease, ALS, Alzheimer's dementia, cerebellar ataxia, spinal cord injury adult cerebral palsy, amputation, brain tumor and vestibular conditions.

Job duties include but are not limited to:
Frequent heavy lifting and transers
Spasticity management and serial casting of the lower extremity
Bioness L300 therapy to assist with footdrop duting gait
body weight support treadmill training
overground gait and robotic training
effective operation of rehab technology
Master's or DPT degree in physical therapy or an equivalent combination of education and experience is necessary. Satisfactory completion of an internship program is necessary. Demonstrated proficiency in patient treatment is necessary. Possession of a current State license to practice physical therapy in Michigan is necessary.
A minimum of 2-3 years experience in the treatment of adult rehab neurological conditions is necessary. This includes but is not limited to multiple sclerosis, stroke, Parkinson's disease, ALS, Alzheimer's dementia, cerebellar ataxia, spinal cord injury adult cerebral palsy, amputation and brain tumors. Some experience in management of concussion and vestibular rehabilitation would also be preferential.
Strong communication skills, creativity, adaptability and flexibility are highly recommended.
This position can be underfilled with a candidate that does not yet have possession of a current State license to practice physical therapy in Michigan.
This schedule requires closing shift for all days worked. Clinic hours are 7 am - 7 pm (M-TH) ad 7 am - 5 pm (F).
This position may be underfilled at a lower classification depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
